Bob Gale is an Oscar®-nominated Screenwriter-Producer-Director, best known as co-creator, co-writer and co-producer of Back to the Future and its sequels. Gale was born and raised in St Louis, Missouri, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Cinema from the University of Southern California in 1973, where he met and began his association with his longtime collaborator, Robert Zemeckis.

Gale has written or co-written over 30 screenplays and his other film credits include 1941, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Used Cars, Trespass and Interstate 60, the last of which he also directed. In addition to his film and television work, and being the ‘Gatekeeper’ for the BTTF franchise, Gale has written comic books including Spider-Man, Batman and IDW’s Back to the Future title, thus proving to his father that he did not waste hours and hours reading comics in his youth. He has given talks on screenwriting in colleges across the USA, and enjoys meeting fans at comic conventions and Back to the Future events. He has also served as an expert witness in over 25 plagiarism lawsuits, even though this has occasionally required him to wear a suit and tie. When he’s not in production, writing, or wasting time on the internet, he actually does take out the trash, even when his wife doesn’t ask (well, sometimes he does). Gale lives in California with his wife and dog. Back to the Future the Musical is his first foray into writing for the stage.

Robert Zemeckis won an Academy Award©,  a Golden Globe and a Director’s Guild of America Award for Best Director for the hugely successful and popular motion picture Forrest Gump.  The film’s numerous honors also included a Best Picture Oscar and, for Tom Hanks, a Best Actor Oscar. 

 Early in his career, he co-wrote with Bob Gale and directed Back to the Future, which was the top-grossing release of 1985 and for which Zemeckis shared Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for Best Original Screenplay.  He then went on to helm the sequels Back to the Future Part II and Part III, completing one of the most successful film franchises in motion picture history.

Zemeckis has continued to bring an impressive number of popular films to the screen including the comedies Used Cars and I Wanna Hold Your Hand, the romantic adventure Romancing the Stone starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner and the macabre comedy hit Death Becomes Her starring Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis and Goldie Hawn. 

 He also directed Who Framed Roger Rabbit, cleverly blending live action and animation in a feature film, resulting in a worldwide box office smash hit.  Zemeckis then re-teamed with Hanks directing and producing the unique contemporary drama Cast Away, which opened to critical and audience acclaim. 

 He directed and produced Contact, starring Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey, based on the best-selling novel by Carl Sagan.  He also co-wrote and directed the motion-capture film The Polar Express starring Tom Hanks as a charming train conductor taking children on a magical adventure to the North Pole.

 Zemeckis produced and directed his second motion-caption film, Beowulf which starred Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie, based on one of the oldest surviving pieces of Anglo-Saxon literature, written before the 10th Century A.D.  he released another advanced motion-capture film, A Christmas Carol, based on the celebrated and beloved classic Charles Dickens story which he both wrote and directed for The Disney Studios.

 Zemeckis returned to live action direct with the critically-acclaimed dramatic feature Flight, for Paramount Pictures starring Denzel Washington. Under the direction of Zemeckis, Washington received an Academy Award© nomination for his role.

  For The Walk, he directed Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ben Kingsley in the story of French high-wire artist Philippe Petit’s historic 1974 attempt to cross the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. 

 He directed the romantic thriller Allied, starring Brad Pitt and Marion Coillard, telling the compelling story of the relationship between a Canadian Intelligence Officer and a French Resistance Fighter against the backdrop of WWII in 1942 North Africa. 

 Along with Caroline Thompson, Zemeckis wrote the screenplay for Welcome to Marwen, which he directed for Universal Pictures.  The film starred Steve Carell as real life artist Mark Hogancamp who created a miniature WWI-era village as a way to recover from a violent assault.  He then directed The Witches for Warner Bros. Studios. 

 Zemeckis produced such films as The Frighteners, Monster House, Last Holiday and as a producer brought the true life story of The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio starring Julianne Moore and Woody Harrelson to the big screen.  Along with Bob Gale, he wrote Trespass. He and Gale also wrote 1941, which began a long-time association with Steven Spielberg.

Zemeckis helmed Pinocchio which he co-wrote for The Disney Studios.  He was nominated for Outstanding Producer of Televised or Streamed Motion Pictures by the Producer’s Guild of America. 

 In 1988 Zemeckis, Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey partnered to form ImageMovers a production company dedicated to telling character-driven stories across many genres for film and television incorporating both cutting-edge and innovative digital technology

 For the small screen, his directing credits include episodes of Spielberg’s Amazing Stories and HBO’s Tales from the Crypt.  He served as EP on Medal of Honor for Netflix, Blue Book for The History Channel and Manifest for NBC and Warner Bros.

 In March, 2001 the USC School of Cinema-Television celebrated the opening of the Robert Zemeckis Center for Digital Arts.  This state-of-the-art center is the country’s first and only fully digital training center and houses the latest in non-linear production and post-production equipment as well as stages, a 50-seat screening room and USC student-run television station Trojan Vision.

 Most recently  Zemeckis his latest directorial effort was , Here for Sony Pictures Studios and Miramax.  The film reunites Zemeckis with Tom Hanks and Robin Wright and is an intimate story taking place in one location over the span of generations.  The film premiered at the 2024 AFI Festival and closed out the 2024 60th Anniversary of the Chicago Film Festival where Zemeckis received the Festival’s Founder’s Award.

In his ongoing, decades-long career as a composer, Alan Silvestri has blazed an innovative trail with his exciting and melodic scores, winning the applause of Hollywood and movie audiences the world over. With a credit list of over 100 films, Silvestri has composed some of the most recognisable and beloved themes in movie history. His efforts have been recognised with two Oscar® nominations, two Golden Globe nominations, four Grammy® awards, two Emmy® awards, and numerous International Film Music Critics Awards, Saturn Awards, and Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

Born in New York City and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, Silvestri first dreamed of becoming a jazz guitar player. After attending the Berklee School of Music in Boston, he hit the road as a performer and arranger. Landing in Hollywood at the age of 22, he found himself successfully composing the music for 1972's The Doberman Gang which established his place in the world of film composing.
The 1970s witnessed the rise of energetic synth-pop scores, establishing Silvestri as the action rhythmatist for TV’s highway patrol hit CHiPs. This action-driven score caught the ear of a young filmmaker named Robert Zemeckis, whose 1984 hit film, Romancing the Stone, was the perfect first date for the composer and director. Its success became the basis of a decades-long relationship that continues to this day. Olivier Award-winning producer Colin Ingram has worked in the theatre industry for 31 years with some of the world's leading producers, directors, designers and writers. He currently produces Back to the Future – The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre, London and Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger's Drift on a UK Tour. Back To The Future The Musical is also playing in Japan, on a US Tour, onboard Royal Caribbean's Star of the Seas, and in Australia. BTTF is also set to open in Germany in 2026 along with a UK Tour. John Rando Directed the world premiere of Back To The Future The Musical in 2020 at Manchester Opera House. His production transferred to the Adelphi Theater in 2021, winning the 2022 Olivier Award for Best Musical. In the summer of 2023 he opened another production of BTTF on Broadway. Donovan is an American producer active in theatre, film and music. Frequently collaborating with Colin Ingram, their production of Back To The Future-The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre won Best New Musical at the 2022 Olivier Awards, the 2022 What’sOnStage Awards and the 2022 BroadwayWorld UK Awards. Donovan also produced the 2022 production of Grease at the Dominion Theatre and the musical's 2019 and 2021 UK tours. Donovan’s first foray into theatre was the Broadway and West End productions of Ghost-The Musical which received three Tony nominations and five Olivier nominations. In 2013, Donovan produced Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Broadway starring Emilia Clarke; it won Best New Play at the BroadwayWorld.com Awards. Bob's first venture into producing was Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Broadway starring Emilia Clarke, which won Best New Play at the Broadwayworld.com awards. Bob's investment group, Green Energy Solutions, LLC takes great pride in supporting theatre and the arts.

Ricardo Marques, founder of 4Act Entertainment, member of the Broadway League, started his career as a singer and actor, later becoming an artistic director and producer, working in the entertainment industry for 15 years. Recent productions include: Back to the Future (Broadway and West End – Olivier Award-winner),

Grease (West End and UK tour), The Wiz (Broadway and US tour), Othello (Broadway), Burlesque (West End) and The Time Traveller’s Wife (West End).

In Brazil, he was lead producer and artistic director of Broadway and West End shows including Grease, The Bodyguard, Ghost, In the Heights, Rock of Ages, Fame and others, also developing Brazilian shows based on famous characters and series in the country. Ricardo is developing new shows in the US and UK with major lead producers. 

He also founded the first specialised musical theatre school in Brazil and Latin America – the 4Act Performing Arts.

Sam is a director and movement director - working across opera, theatre and comedy. He
is currently Resident Director of Back to the Future (West End) and Co-Artistic Director of
international physical theatre company Voloz Collective.

Knew Too Much (UK & International Tour - Playbill Critic’s Pick); The Life Sporadic of Jess

Sam trained at L’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq.

Laura was part of the original cast for the world premiere of Back to the Future at Manchester Opera House, as well as an original West End cast member. She is delighted to be staying with the show as Resident Choreographer.

InTheatre Productions was founded in 2018 by Colin Ingram and Peter Kane.
An independent and innovative theatre company with its offices in Soho, London, it general-manages Back to the Future the Musical at the Adelphi Theatre and produced Grease twice in the West End (Dominion) and has produced various National Tours. InTheatre has also co-produced On Your Feet (London Coliseum/UK tour) and White Christmas(Dominion). InTheatre Productions will also be general managing the UK Tour of Midsomer Murders later this year. Following a successful run at the Storehouse in Chester, InTheatre recently produced The Time Traveller’s Wife Musical directed by Bill Buckhurst with music by Brit Award-winner Joss Stone and Grammy® and Golden Globe-winner Dave Stewart from The Eurythmics, at the Apollo Theatre, London.
